How to Wash Your Hair At Home

COVID-19 has definitely changed the way in which we now go about our daily lives. Most of us in the personal care industry has heeded to official's warning of implementing social distancing, which for us means, temporary closure of our hair salon.

Since we probably won't see each other for some time, I want to offer you some tips on how to shampoo your hair yourself at home.

Shampoo Steps:

  • Wet your hair throughly. Allow the water to run over your hair for at least two minutes to completely saturate your hair.

  • Shampoo will lather better and will be easier to work through hair if the hair is saturated.

  • Using the comb, divide your hair in 4 sections, rope twist each section.

  • Using a dime-sized amount of shampoo, work the shampoo into a lather between your hands. Starting at the scalp on the first section, work the lather through the through the hair concentrating on the roots before spreading the lather to the ends. Repeat the procedure on the other three sections.

  • Allow the lather to remain on the scalp for one minute while working the lather with the fingertips.

Rinse well, until the water runs clear. It may be necessary to section the hair with the fingers to allow the rinse water to reach all areas of the scalp.

After you have done all of the above, you will want to condition your in sections as described above.
